Abstract
Purpose – The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia Methods – The sample used in this study was registered Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia with a total of 14 Islamic Commercial Banks during the quarterly period of March, June, September, and December from 2016 – 2020 and using the panel data as a method. Findings – The results showed that the results showed that assets, CAR, and NPF had no significant effect on the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. While in FDR, BOPO has a significant effect on the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. In addition, it was found that the Covid-19 pandemic had a significant effect on the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks. Implication – In general, it can be said that during the Covid-19 pandemic there were several aspects that did not affect the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks, but on the other hand there were several important aspects that were directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Originality – This research contributes to modeling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the profits of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Abstrak Tujuan – Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia. Metode – Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bank Umum Syariah yang terdaftar di Indonesia yang berjumlah 14 Bank Umum Syariah selama periode triwulan Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember dari tahun 2016 – 2020 dan menggunakan metode data panel. Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aset, CAR, dan NPF tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia. Sedangkan pada FDR, BOPO berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa pandemi Covid-19 berdampak signifikan terhadap keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah. Implikasi – Secara umum dapat dikatakan bahwa pada masa pandemi Covid-19 terdapat beberapa aspek yang tidak mempengaruhi keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah, namun di sisi lain terdapat beberapa aspek penting yang terkena dampak langsung dari pandemi Covid-19. pandemi. Orisinalitas – Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memodelkan dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap keuntungan Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia.
