Abstract

The present work deals with the costs related to the production and logistics of soybeans, in Brazil with special emphasis on the Midwest region. Therefore, the focus of this work is to discuss how the intense use of road transport in Brazil overtax the cost off the farm, becoming a disadvantage towards the main competitor in this market, the United States.
