Abstract

The study examines the space’s influence in the distribution of the Constitutional Fund for Financing the Center-West between 2004 and 2011 in Goiás’s municipalities for programs “Empresarial” and “Rural”. The spatial correlations were founded using the Moran’s Index and Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA), which showed that the FCO’s distribution does not depend only on the economic activities of the municipality, but is also positively influenced by the level of resources that circulates in neighborhood. There are clusters of FCO resources for the “Empresarial” program near Goiania and Anapolis region, and “Rural” program in the south of the state.
