Cambio en la distribución del ingreso entre personas que envejecen

Abstract

El artículo aborda el tema de la distribución de ingresos entre un grupo de familias en dos momentos de la vida de éstos. Se trata de un estudio de la dinámica que se observa en los ingresos cuando las familias envejecen. Se utiliza el método de descomposición del Coeficiente Gini que permite medir la importancia de variables explicatorios de las desigualdades. Se concluye que, en cuanto a los ingresos del trabajo, las diferencias entre personas son decrecientemente explicadas por el tipo de educación, oficio, o posición ocupacional de la persona. Ello hace presumir un mayor papel de las características individuales en la determinación del salario a medida que el trabajador se hace conocido en el mercado laboral. En cuanto a ingresos familiares y familiares per cápita, las conclusiones son más débiles, pero muy similares a las de los ingresos del trabajo.
