Abstract

This study focuses on the growth hacking business analytical tools for small and medium enterprises to improve their business operations. The study analysed 11 prominent sectors, namely retail, e-commerce, travel, finance, telecom, healthcare, customer support, sales review, project management, insurance and manufacturing industries, to identify the critical challenges and propose solutions using predictive business analytics. The Triangulation approach has been employed through literature review, interview with SME startups incubated in IIT Madras Research Park and other SMEs in Chennai to provide an organized framework using an “Industry outlook Analysis” that suggest business analytical tools to overcome their challenges due to lack of resources. The study suggests that affordable predictive analytics can help SMEs overcome these challenges by providing insights into customer behaviour, operational efficiency and market trends. Overall, the study highlights the importance of data-driven decision-making tools that are available for SMEs to remain more competitive in the market environment.
