Tariffs in the 'Quad': some unfinished business for WTO negotiations

Abstract

Despite low average rates, the tariff remains an important instrument of trade policy in the 'Quad'. This article presents some summary tariff indicators, highlighting the main features of these tariffs that warrant attention in the current round multilateral trade negotiations at the WTO.
