Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wie hat sich der Anteil einkommensschwacher Personen in Deutschland entwickelt? Ihr Anteil hat zugenommen, aber auch ihr Einkommen. Abhängig von der sozialen Gruppe zeigen sich aber deutliche Unterschiede: Ostdeutsche sind eher einkommensschwach als Westdeutsche, das gleiche gilt für Personen mit Migrationshintergrund im Vergleich zu Personen ohne Migrationshintergrund. Unter Rentnern ist der Anteil der Einkommensschwachen gering, unter Erwerbslosen jedoch sehr hoch. Den Aufstieg aus dieser Gruppe haben im Vergleich der Jahre 2011 und 2016 weniger als die Hälfte der Erwachsenen geschafft.
