Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Handel mit Vorleistungen hat in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. In Deutschland verbraucht vor allem der Industriesektor einen hohen Anteil der Vorleistungsimporte, wobei Rohstoffimporten eine besondere Bedeutung zukommt. Der Anteil von Rohstofflieferungen aus Ländern, die von großen politischen und ökonomischen Risiken geprägt werden, ist in den vergangenen Jahren auf über 60% aller deutschen Rohstoffimporte angestiegen. Folglich kommt Unternehmen eine große Verantwortung zu, in den Herkunftsländern nachhaltige Sozial- und Produktionsstandards zu implementieren und Umwelt- und Lebensbedingungen in Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländern langfristig zu verbessern.
