Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die derzeit hohe Inflation wird auch durch hohe Monopolrenten von Konzernen getrieben. Es liegt nicht eine Lohn-Preis-, sondern eine Gewinn-Preis-Spirale vor. Die Monopolrenten sind möglich, da zuletzt vor allem durch Firmenübernahmen marktbeherrschende Unternehmen entstanden sind. Auch europäische Konzerne erzielen Rekordgewinne, in Deutschland speziell die großen DAX-Konzerne. Die Bekämpfung der Inflation durch Zinserhöhungen ist aber kontraproduktiv. Es wäre effektiver, die Monopolrenten zu senken. Die Energiepreisinflation kann über eine Monopolrentenminderung für Strom- und Gasnetze bekämpft werden. Mit dem ASFINAG-Modell steht eine effizientere Form der Finanzierung dieser Netze zur Verfügung.
