Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die von der Bundesregierung eingesetzte Kommission „Verlässlicher Generationenvertrag“ aus Politiker*innen und Expert*innen hat im März 2020 ihren Bericht vorgelegt. Daraus ergeben sich Fragen zum Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Politik: Welchen Einfluss sollten Wissenschaftler*innen auf die Rentenpolitik nehmen dürfen? Sollten sogar rentenpolitische Kompetenzen an ein Experten-Gremium übertragen werden? Zu bedenken ist, dass nicht nur der Nutzen wissenschaftlicher Politikberatung wertgeschätzt werden sollte, sondern auch die Beschränkungen wissenschaftlicher Expertise ernstgenommen werden müssen.
