Abstract

— The article examines the strategy of spatial development of Russia for the period up to 2025, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. A critical assessment of the development priorities of the regions of the northwest of Russia has been carried out. Based on the calculation of localization indices by types of economic activity, recommendations aimed at clarification of regional specialization were proposed.
