Abstract

Zusammenfassung Von der Anregung zur Gründung einer Vereinigung betriebswirtschaftlicher Hochschullehrer in Deutschland 1912 über erste Zusammenkünfte 1914 bis zur Verbandsgründung ist wenig bekannt. Die Schritte zur Gründung werden hier aus Archivmaterial und frei zugänglichen Quellen zusammengetragen. Dabei wird deutlich, dass in erster Linie eine Plattform für den Austausch über Forschungsergebnisse gesucht wurde. Daneben wird erstmals bekannt, dass bisherige Annahmen über die personelle Führung des Verbandes korrigiert werden müssen. Neues Licht fällt auf die Art der Tätigkeit während der Jahre 1933 bis 1939, insbesondere bisher unbekannte Verbandstagungen und ähnliche Treffen.
