Abstract

In recent years, 5G mobile communication has frequently become popular in the field of science and technology. After the Sino-US trade war, the United States’ resistance to my country’s communications technology has prompted China to become more independent and self-reliant, not only building a large number of 5G base stations in the country, but also helping other countries to complete the construction of 5G communication technology. 5G wireless technology is designed to give peak data speeds of at least 1Gbps, ultra-low latency, and reliable service to a wider audience. The more efficient and effective a business is, the more it's able to offer innovative user experiences and work with other businesses. Based on the combination of 5G and voice technology, this paper makes an innovative design for the core component of mobile communication-the antenna system. In the context of writing, this article adopts a traditional thesis structure, with relevant background introduction as a foreshadowing, to sort out and summarize relevant frontier theories at home and abroad. Next, it focuses on the current development of the key technologies of 5G communication system design. Subsequently, a millimeter-wave microstrip antenna was designed based on the characteristics of 5G communication, aiming to optimize the transmission performance of the antenna by selecting the substrate and designing the antenna structure. The experiment chose RogersRT/duroid 5880 as the substrate of the antenna. Its length is a common 24 mm, its width is three-quarters of its length, and its thickness is 0.48 mm. The dielectric constant εr is 2.2. The antenna of this structure was chosen because its value in terms of stability has been proven in practice, which can ensure the smoothness of signal transmission to a large extent.
