Wenn Patientlnnen und Behandelnde nicht dieselbe Sprache sprechen ...-Konzepte zur Übersetzungspraxis

Abstract

La collaboration avec un/e interprète lors de consultations avec un/e patient/e de langue étrangère est de plus en plus pratiquée. Toutefois, les bases théoriques ainsi que conceptionnelles de cette consultation restent peu élaborées. La présence d'une tierce personne modifie la consultation et une situation fondamentalement différente se présente. La triade peut faciliter une compréhension approfondie, mais aussi amener des situations complexes et d'obstacles dans la communication. Cet article traite quelques perspectives nouvelles dans la consultation avec des patients/es de langue étrangère. Sont discutés quatre types idéaux d'interprétariat dans le domaines des soins ainsi que ses avantages et désavantages, notamment la traduction mot-à-mot, la médiation culturelle, le rôle d'avocat du/de la patient/e et la co-thérapie. Dans la situation concrète de l'interprétariat ces modèles de rôle sont appliqués de manière différente et combinée selon le contexte institutionnelle, thérapeutique et interactif. Quelques vignettes de consultations enregistrées et retraduites viennent illustrer la mise en pratique des différents rôles. Copyright Birkhäuser Verlag 1999
