Grippeüberwachung in der Schweiz

Abstract

En Suisse, la surveillance de l'activité grippale est assurée par le système de déclaration volontaire Sentinella depuis 1986. Les 150 à 200 médecins ont déclaré annuellement, durant la saison de grippe, entre 2600 et 6600 cas de suspicion d'influenza. Cela signifie qu'en Suisse, le nombre estimé de cas de grippe, par année et pendant la haute saison (pic de 10 semaines) se situe entre 100 000 et 230 000. 13% à 20% des patients de plus de 60 ans ont développé une pneumonie et 1.6% à 2.7% d'entre eux ont dû être hospitalisés. Selon nos estimations (données Sentinella), la grippe est responsable de 1800 hospitalisations par année en Suisse. Ce chiffre s'accorde parfaitement bien avec les estimations de la statistique médicale de la VESKA (H + ) qui arrive à 1600 hospitalisations par an. La collaboration avec le centre national de la grippe permet d'identifier les souches grippales circulantes et d'éventuelles modifications par rapport aux souches contenues dans les vaccins contre la grippe. Durant ces 10 dernières années, le système de déclaration Sentinella s'est révélé être un instrument de surveillance très utile et très informatif pour évaluer l'étendue et l'importance de la grippe dans notre pays.
