Plan For The Recovery Of A Bank In The Pre-Accession Process – Requirements And Standards

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the development of bank recovery plans in the context of the pre-accession process of the Republic of Bulgaria to ERM II, related to the requirements of a number of normative documents, including the Directive on the recovery and resolution of credit institutions. The need for banks to develop single instruments, indicators, procedures and escalation options containing actions in the event of a serious deterioration in the situation of a financial institution shall be considered. The article proposes the structure of a recovery plan, the main subordination units and functions, as well as the most important indicators for early warning in case of deterioration of a bank's financial situation.
