Abstract

The purpose of the article is to indicate that the State plays an active role in the agribusiness area. Using the formal institutions and organizations it created, the State creates desirable ways of managing arable land. The legal regulations concerning the agribusiness derive from the assumptions of the State’s agricultural policy. Analysis of legal regulations allows to state that the recent legal regulations concerning the possession of and trading in agricultural properties result in the restrictions imposed on business entities in terms of economic choices in order to implement complex economic goals. Legal regulations aim at implementing effective control in terms of managing arable land. The restrictions and controls in the above mentioned area of business entities’ operations are justified by the fact that agricultural properties are an indispensable means of agricultural production the purpose and function of which is to ensure food safety of the country.
