Determinants of the Smart Grid in energy projects

Abstract

The development of electricity networks depends mainly on new technologies. Smart Grid – an intelligent, multi-grid is a tool for the future efficient use of increasingly expensive energy resources. In general, the implementation of intelligent networks will benefit individual customers, the national economy and the environment. Europe is now seeking to increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Smart Grid is a challenge which seeks to achieve this ambitious goal. The article presents the ideas of intelligent networks that will help energy companies to increase the reliability of energy supply and operational efficiency, expanding the scope of measurement and control of power systems and management of new technologies, even in the farthest points of the grid.
