Abstract

Process mapping has become a viable methodology in recent times. This article presents findings from a study on academic projects meeting the principles of responsible research and innovation (RRI), and fostering reindustrialization processes. The discovered process maps of the projects’ chronologies in selected smart cities show the core reindustrialization projects in smart cities and the major steps in city reindustrialization strategies developed in academia. The article focuses on the process mining methodology, enabling discovering smart cities’ process maps.
