Dinámica De La Eficiencia Técnica E Internacionalización En El Sector Químico Español

Abstract

El objetivo principal del presente trabajo es analizar la eficiencia técnica del sector químico español. Para ello, se va a seguir el enfoque no-paramétrico conocido como método el Análisis Envolvente de Datos (DEA) para evaluar los niveles de eficiencia y el peso relativo del sector en la economía. Asimismo, se va a estimar la convergencia de la eficiencia técnica (ET) para cada una de las diferentes Comunidades Autónomas objeto de estudio. Así como, la relación causal existente entre la potenciación del mercado internacional con respecto a la variable ET.En este documento se evalúa el desempeño de una muestra de 410 empresas pertenecientes al sector químico para el período 2007-2011. La base de datos se elabora a partir de los microdatos extraídos de la Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (BvDP). Los resultados obtenidos reconocen la existencia de elevados niveles de eficiencia en el sector, lo que permite afirmar que resulta ser un sector económico competitivo y eficiente en todos los años de la muestra.
