La Participación En El Mercado De Valores ¿Por Qué Invierten Los Individuos?

Abstract

La participación en el mercado bursátil es un tema de estudio con varias décadas de historia, aún hoy en discusión, como respuesta a la persistencia de bajas tasas de participción. En este trabajo se analizan los determinantes de la participación en dicho mercado mediante modelos probit, donde la variable dependiente recoge la tenencia directa de acciones y/o la participación indirecta a través de fondos de inversión. Los resultados muestran que edad, educación, preferencias de riesgo y uso de internet resultan ser variables claves a la hora de explicar la participación de los hogares en el mercado de valores en España.
