Abstract
The article investigates the theoretical basis and classification aspects of the category of "development." In this paper, based on a critical analysis of the literature are summarized and highlighted the existing approaches to the definition of "development" is to use the following key features: development is seen as a process change, a process of change and movement system. The most feasible and seems complete approach to the interpretation of development as a process of change or transformation of the enterprise as an open system. The study highlighted the modern approaches to in-depth disclosure of the key characteristics of the category of "development." Thus, the essence of the development can be considered depending on the quality and direction of the transformation taking place in the enterprise. In addition, understanding of the term "development" can be carried out through the study of the properties and selection systems, developing through the formation of interpretations of the concept, and through comparison of the concept of the categories that are close in meaning. Development can be described as a function of the variability of the individual parameters of the system and its stochastic behavior; limiting the availability of opportunities; ability to change its structure and shape behaviors; ability to resist entropy trends; ability to adapt to changing conditions. Selection approaches to the formation of key characteristics of the concept of "development" completed its study of the classification issues. In this regard, in the proposed generalized classification of enterprise development on the basis of twelve classifications.
