Priorities of social policy of the region to improve the quality of life of the population

Abstract

The purpose of the research, conducted by the authors is to substantiate the priorities of social policy in the region to improve the quality of life of the population. To assess the efficiency of using the economic potential of the region, there is a system of indicators, suggested by the authors which consists of two subsystems: a set of criteria aimed at effective use of available and attracted resources; target efficiency indicators. Resource efficiency is assessed through productivity, and target efficiency is determined of calculations of monetary incomes of population and GDP per capita in the region. In determining the quality of life a system of indicators that reflect both objective characteristics (consumption of wealth, life expectancy, education system, etc.) is offered to use, so and the subjective view of the inhabitants of the region the conditions of their life.
