Towards implementation іnnovatsionno investment projects on railways of Ukraine

Abstract

The deals with the problems of current importance concerning innovation and investment activity of railway transport as an important branch and a substantial component of Ukraine’s national economy. There has been performed the analysis which helps to determine that high speed rail passenger service is an essential feature of world’s developed railways, which is insufficient in Ukraine. And, the inadequate fund and investment hamper innovation and investment process of Ukraine’s railway transport development. There have been estimated new forms of innovation and investment activity such as concession, which makes it possible to maintain the implementation of the most considerable investment projects on strategic development of the industry, namely, introduction of high speed passenger service. The implementation of suggested methods is based on the mechanism, which provides substantiated grounds to introduce new forms of innovation and investment activity on railway transport. There have been improved the methods to estimate economic impact on railway transport, which take into account not only internal transport effect, but also external one due to implementation of innovation and investment projects.
