The components of the management by the competitive sustainability of the enterprise

Abstract

The basic nature and the importance of industry’s competitive stability are investigated. The author deals with need to improve enhance the stability of enterprise which will permit keep their position in the competition in the future. The paper proposes a definition of "competitive sustainability of the enterprise", the specific features of this economic category are distinguished: unlike competitiveness which involves only the company's ability to compete and withstand competitors, competitive stability is characterized by the ability of the entity to store their own long-term competitiveness in environment changes. The paper states that competitive stability should be seen as a result of partial sustainability of all components of this system pertaining to the directional influence on them. The factors affecting the level of sustainability of competitive industry are investigated and regulated. Specifically two groups of factors that affect on the sustainability’s level of the competitive industry: internal and external. It was proposed to include production, marketing, finance, innovation, human resources and management factors to the first group and economic, social, political, legal, scientific, technical, cultural, demographic, natural, international factors and the business environment in the country etc. were assigned to the second group. The main stages of the evaluation process and improving the stability of the competitive industry are discussed in the article. The following stages are proposed: 1. Identification of external and internal environmental factors which influence on the level of competitive sustainability of the enterprise. 2. Grouping and identify the most important factors that influence to the level of competitive sustainability of the enterprise. Analysis of the relationships of these factors. 3. Impact assessment of factors selected for the study to the level of the competitive sustainability of the enterprise and its quantitative determination. 4. Prediction of possible changes in the factors included in the model due to possible changes of the external and internal environment. 5. The determination of possible ways and taking steps to enhance the competitive sustainability of the enterprise 6. Assessment of costs on the implementation of the developed measures and their feasibility from the standpoint of economic efficiency 7. The adoption of appropriate management decisions on development (adjustment) competitive strategies, programs, increasing competitive viability etc. 8. The conducting assess and implement regular monitoring of the implementation of competitive strategies, programs to improve the competitive sustainability of the enterprise etc.
