Business quality management strategies

Abstract

The work deals with quality strategy in the system of strategic business management, basic areas in strategic quality management of production at railway enterprises, and solutions in this field. Such areas are: formation of strategic quality management system of production, introduction of the system based on wide implementation of world’s quality standards at railway enterprises which makes it possible to increasingly improve production quality, improvement of technique reliability in transportation, and reduction in production cost at all stages of a vital cycle. It has been established that corporate business culture is of primary importance, the priorities and communication rules of which encourage fulfillment of specified requirements for the quality management system. Some of the results of strategic quality management at railway enterprises are faster technical progress and technological advance in Ukraine’s railway transport, innovative and high-quality production for railway transport which meets appropriate international and national standards, higher operational reliability, and minimal engineering and economic risks on railway transport.
