Abstract

Настоящая статья посвящена проблеме военного строительства в СССР в 1930-1940 гг. Актуальность данного исследования обусловлена тем, что проблеме финансирования военных расходов и военного строительства в СССР уделено мало внимания в отечественной и зарубежной науке, не проведено сравнительного анализа военных расходов Советского государства в рассматриваемый период по отношению к другим военным державам того времени. Основные положения статьи заключаются в следующем: СССР тратил мало средств, по сравнению с другими крупными военными державами, на военные нужды, советское руководство было увлечено созданием дорогостоящего репрессивного аппарата, на который расходовалось денег не меньше, чем на всю оборонную промышленность.
