Abstract

Во второй половине ХХ в. воспроизводство населения большинства стран Юга претерпело кардинальные изменения. Временной лаг между снижением смертности и снижением рождаемости породил взрывной рост населения с серьезными долговременными отрицательными последствиями как для самих развивающихся стран, так и в глобальном масштабе. За осознанием губительности демографического взрыва последовало массовое внедрение политики снижения рождаемости. Помощь Севера, политическая воля государств-реципиентов и достижение международного консенсуса по идеологически нагруженному вопросу обусловили успех программ планирования семьи, которые стали крупным фактором демографического перехода
