Отставание Европы От Сша По Росту Производительности: Тенденции И Причины

Abstract

В работе показано, что замедление роста производительности труда в Европе связано с более медленным формированием в ней экономики знаний по сравнению с США. Рассматриваются различные объяснения, каждое из которых не является исчерпывающим: более низкий рост инвестиций в информационные и телекоммуникационные технологии в Европе, сравнительно небольшая доля соответствующих отраслей в Европе, а также низкий рост совокупной факторной производительности (которая может рассматриваться как косвенный показатель развития технологий и эффекта инноваций). В работе подчеркивается ключевая роль отраслей, связанных с оказанием рыночных услуг, в наблюдаемом разрыве темпов роста производительности в США и ЕС. Именно в этих видах деятельности требуется наращивание темпов роста производительности для того, чтобы избежать увеличения разрыва.
