Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению связи между пред-ставлениями людей о состоянии экономики и их экономическим поведением. Эта проблема рассматривается на примере формирования представ-лений о безработице и их влияния на адаптацию работников на рынке труда. Используя данные РМЭЗ за 1994-2000 гг., авторы показывают, что в начале этого периода страх безработицы формировался экзогенно по отношению к реальной ситуации на рынке труда. Наряду с фактической безработицей он был значимым фактором понижающего давления на реальную заработную плату. По мере развития реформ социальное обучение населения снижало значение страха как автономного от безработицы механизма адаптации на рынке труда. Основные выводы работы подтверждены эконометрическими расчетами, использующими как МНК-оценки на данных типа cross-section за отдельные годы, так и оценки панельных регрессий с индивидуальными эффектами.
