Abstract

В статье рассмотрены основные этапы внедрения железных дорог в России в контексте общемирового развития железнодорожного дела. Проведен анализ основополагающих решений российского правительства в этой сфере, которые легли в основу государственной железнодорожной политики в последующие исторические периоды. Представлена история согласования, проектирования и строительства первых российских железных дорог в управленческом и экономическом аспектах. Уделено внимание личному вкладу императора Николая I в становление отечественного железнодорожного транспорта.
