Abstract

В предлагаемой статье представлен анализ библиометрических индикаторов, предназначенных для оценки результатов и качества деятельности прежде всего в области фундаментальных наук, изучения масштабов, структуры и динамики создаваемых научных знаний. При этом использована библиометрическая информация реферативной базы данных компании Thomson ISI (ранее Institute of Scientific Information ISI), которая существует с 1963 года и, начиная с 1985 года, охватывает публикации порядка 5 тыс. ведущих научных журналов мира в области естественных (Science Citation Index SCI) и общественных (Social Science Citation Index SSCI) наук с классификацией по соответствующим отраслям. Несмотря на ряд недостатков, о которых подробнее будет сказано ниже, базы данных SCI/SSCI являются наиболее полным и надежным библиометрическим инструментом измерения результатов научной деятельности в отдельных странах и межстрановых сопоставлений, так как содержат не только стандартные библиографические данные мирового потока публикаций, но и проиндексированную пристатейную библиографию.
