Abstract

Статья, основанная на опубликованных работах, материалах полевых исследований и экспедиций, описывает чувашские обычаи и церемонии, связанные с рождаемостью, предотвращением и лечением детских болезней. Особенностью обрядов в этой области является то, что члены чувашского этноса очень рано начали испытывать влияние российской культуры и христианства. Однако информанты все еще помнят традиционные чувашские обряды материнства и крещения и руководят услугами местных знахарок.
