Abstract

В статье дается анализ мемуарной литературы как источника с ведений по истории Саратова второй половины XIX начала XX вв. Автором определен круг воспоминаний деятелей науки, просвещения, писателей, художников, чиновников, которые помогают реконструировать утраченные черты внешнего облика города и охарактеризовать особенности местной культурной среды с точки зрения современников.
