Abstract

В статье с помощью методов эконометрики и математической статистики рассматриваются особенности и тенденции межрегиональных различий в социальном развитии регионов Севера. Статистические характеристики указывают на процесс конвергенции северных регионов в условиях высокой степени их социальной дифференциации. На основе методов главных компонент факторного анализа и иерархического кластерного анализа Ворда выделены четыре типа северных регионов по уровню социального развития высокоразвитый, развитый, слаборазвитый и проблемный. По отношению к каждому типу необходима разработка целенаправленной государственной региональной политики в целях сглаживания неравномерности развития и повышения уровня благосостояния населения северных регионов.
