Abstract

Излагаются основные положения новой работы по экономике знания современного американского ученого Джоэля Мокира. В «Дарах Афины» Джоэлъ Мокир утверждает, что стремительный экономический рост на Западе в течение последних двух столетий был связан не просто с появлением новых технических идей, но и с существенным улучшением доступа к этим идеям в обществе. Это расширение доступа стало возможным благодаря социальным сетям, состоящим из университетов, издательств, кружков специалистов-инженеров и т.д.
