Abstract

Development of shipping as a main activity in the World Ocean continues to cause public fears from the point of view of ecological safety of the sea. If in the recent past the attention was paid mainly to the risks of emergency spills of oil as a result of tankers accidents, at presence the nature protection control is focused already on the measures of protection of the sea environment from consequences of current operation of all types of ships. Among sources of pollution on the foreground is the emission in ocean atmosphere of products of combustion of ship fuel, in particular.
