Abstract

В статье рассматриваются вопросы изменения демографической ситуации в Смоленской области в первом десятилетии нового столетия. Отмечается наличие тенденций депопуляции и снижения численности трудовых ресурсов, которая, согласно прогнозу, сохранится и в будущем. Как на инструмент регулирования демографической динамики указывается на участие региона в реализации Госпрограммы по оказанию содействия переселению в Российскую Федерацию соотечественников, проживающих за рубежом.
