ДИВЕРСИФІКАЦІЯ УНІВЕРСИТЕТСЬКОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ ТА ЇЇ РОЛЬ У ІННОВАЦІЙНОМУ РОЗВИТКУ ЕКОНОМІКИ // Diversification of universities’ activity and its role in innovative development of the economy

Approaches towards classification of universities of different authors (national and foreign) have been researched. On the basis of such analysis typology of modern universities by the criterion of participation in the innovative development of economy has been created. Specific features according to which university can be attributed to a particular type have been determined as well as national and foreign examples of appropriate types of universities have been given. Functions of each type have been described as well as general conclusions about the role of modern universities in the innovation development of economy has been made. Досліджено підходи до класифікації університетів різних авторів (вітчизняних та зарубіжних). На основі такого аналізу здійснено типологію сучасних університетів за критерієм участі в інноваційномурозвитку економіки. Для цього визначено характерні ознаки, за якими університет можна віднести до того чи іншого типу та наведено вітчизняні і зарубіжні приклади відповідних типів ВНЗ.Описано функції кожного окремого типу та зроблено узагальнений висновок щодо ролі сучасних університетів у інноваційному розвитку економіки.
