Experience of organization of international, regional and national sporting competitions is examined on the playing types of sport, their legal registration and finances-economy mechanisms of realization. Depending on fundamental principles of market ideology they in the most general view can part on two large groups: competitions of commercial (professional) or noncommercial type. Distinctions of these two types of organization of competitions prove practically in all aspects – from status of participants to the systems of financing and allocation of profits. In the article the basic rich in content aspects of organization of sporting games are in detail considered as leagues and championships. As an example for the similar sort of comparative analysis use experience of League of champions of the European handball federation (EGF) and championship of Republic Byelorussia on a handball. Рассматривается опыт организации международных, региональных и национальных спортивных соревнований по игровым видам спорта, правового их оформления и финансово- экономических механизмов реализации. В зависимости от основополагающих принципов рыночнойидеологии они в наиболее общем виде могут быть разделены на две большие группы: соревнованиякоммерческого (профессионального) или некоммерческого (любительского или полупрофессионального) типа. Различия этих двух типов организации соревнований проявляютсебя практически во всех аспектах – от статуса участников до систем финансирования и распределения доходов. В статье подробно рассмотрены основные содержательные аспекты организации спортивных игр в виде лиг и чемпионатов. В качестве примера для подобного родасравнительного анализа используем опыт Лиги чемпионов Европейской гандбольной федерации (ЕГФ) и чемпионата Республики Беларусь по гандболу.
