Article analyzes the theoretical approaches to the definition of social security at the state level and at the enterprise level. The basic features of this concept have been established at macro and micro levels. The main advantages of the existing approaches have been defined as well as drawbacks addressing primary solution have been pointed out. Розглянуто теоретичні підходи до визначення поняття “соціальна безпека” на рівні держави та на рівні підприємства. Обґрунтовано основні характеристики, даного поняття на макро та на мікрорівні. Визначено основні переваги у існуючих підходах та вказано недоліки що потребують першочергового розв’язання.
