ХАРКІВСЬКА БІРЖА. ХІХ–ПОЧАТОК ХХ СТ. // Kharkiv exchange. XIX–early XX centuries

Abstract

The article shows the importance of Kharkiv as a major financial center of the new industrial region in eastern Ukraine. The author briefly reviews the history of joint stock companies of the city and specifics of Kharkiv exchange, particularly, he determines that it did not become a market for industrial securities transactions which occurred mainly at Brussels and Paris exchanges. Показано значення Харкова як основного фінансового центру нового індустріального регіону на сході України, коротко розглянуто історію акціонерного засновництва у місті. Встановлено, що фінансова інфраструктура, що складалася з банківських та небанківських установ, достатньо розгалужена. Виявлено специфіку діяльності Харківської біржі, зокрема визначено, що вона так і не стала ринком для індустріальних цінних паперів, операції з якими проводилися переважно на Брюссельській і Паризькій біржах.
