Abstract

This paper reviews Professor Mike G. Tsionas’ significant contributions to efficiency and productivity measurement, focusing on his pioneering work in Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Econometrics. Highlighting key publications, such as his influential study on financial development and economic growth, it emphasizes novel methodologies like Bayesian Econometric techniques. Professor Tsionas’ research has advanced our understanding of firm productivity and efficiency performance across various sectors (manufacturing, tourism, banking and hospitality).
