Abstract

This paper looks at the evolution of fertility in Italy from the 1960s to the 1990s, using a statistical analysis as its methodology. The article also tries to develop a hypothesis taken from the analysis while considering the problems and complexities of theorizing from perceived any patterns and trends observed in the reproductive process. The two methods of analysis used look at the general European and specifically Italian demographic structures in evidence.
