Abstract

This paper was written in order that Polish academics could gain in this way more reliable information about problems, which have until now not been entirely correctly understood, at least in the area of history. I therefore hope relations between Korea and Poland, based on mutual and profound understanding may gain an even more solid foundation. The basis of the present paper comes from history textbooks used in Polish universities. Ten were chosen among them according to historical period. These periods include ancient times, the middle ages (up to the 15 th century), the 19th century, the inter-war period (1919–1939), as well as the postwar and modern day periods.
