Faster payments in Denmark

Abstract

ABSTRACT Denmark is among these countries. Faster settlement of retail payments significantly increases the need for efficient liquidity management. To accommodate this, Danmarks Nationalbank has made a number of liquidity providing mechanisms available. This paper describes these mechanisms and the new instant payments system.
