Abstract

This paper addresses from a conceptual angle the policy process, presenting the basic principles of a modernized public policy process. These principles developed by the Cabinet Office from London represent a descriptive model that highlights some important characteristics of an efficient public policies process. The second part of the paper makes an analysis of the public policies process in Romania from the perspective of the model proposed by the Cabinet office from London, in order to identify the extent to which the proposed ideas are respected or not in practice in Romania.
