Abstract

The civil service, occupying an intermediate position between the state and society, plays a key role in realizing the goals and objectives of public administration. Ultimately, the quality of work of the entire state apparatus as a whole depends on the effectiveness of the functioning of civil servants. But the results of professional performance of officials are determined by their motivation for the effective implementation of their tasks and functions. The article presents the results of a sociological study on the problems of motivating civil servants and the effectiveness of their professional career performance, which was carried out by the research team of the Department of Sociology of YURIU RANEPA in September-October 2019 in the executive authorities of the Rostov Region.
