Abstract

The article discusses the features of the institute of Vice-governors for internal policy, historical stages of its development, current status and its position in the Russian political system. The functions, powers and principles of appointment of regional curators of internal policy are revealed in detail. Biographical analysis of the existing Vice-governors for internal policy and senior officials of the regions allowed to assess the quality of the staffing of the studied power institute, to form a matrix of career strategies of its representatives. Based on a comparative analysis of the data obtained with the materials of 2014, trends in the development of the institute of Vice-governors for internal policy were identified.
