Abstract

The article considers the current state of the process and trends in the formation of the mechanism of interaction in the school-University system in the market of educational services. The author identifies the main characteristics of higher education in the country, covering the sphere of higher and secondary education, studies the dynamics of the number of students studying in public and private universities, and reveals the ratio of paid and free places in higher education institutions. The analysis showed that in Russia, in addition to the fact that the level of state funding is very small, tuition fees are very high. As a percentage of GDP per capita, this figure is more than 30 %. As a result, in order to increase the competitiveness and mobility of graduates, one of the ways to solve this problem is to improve the quality of higher education in accordance with internation-al standards. This will provide graduates of the Russian higher education system with advantages over other countries in the regional labor market.
